6 Months gone!

Hey people, suffering in the heat wave in the UK while its freezing cold in Australia!!!! I suddenly realised the other day that I have now been away for 6 months, which is pretty wierd. It definatly doens't seem as long as that, the time has gone really quickly. I'm still living in Sydney at the moment in my little flat with 8 people crammed into it! Everyone is really nice though and still having a great time. Can't remember if I told you but I am now working in the city as a PA to the Business Integrity Manager for a company called Work Directions- how posh am I!!! Wasn't really the type of job I was expecting to get while away travelling, but it pays really well and I get to travel all over Sydney, so it's cool! Probably only have about another 4 weeks in the job as they are trying to hire someone permenant, then I will probably end up in a call centre like the majortiy of travellers in Sydney!! Haven't been up to a great deal at the weekends, mostly checking out the Sydney night life - there are so many places to go, not like the one place in Andover!! (Not that I'll have to experience that again so often as my mum has now moved to Winchester!). Have managed to visit a few of the lovely tourist attractions Sydney has on offer like the Aquarium, the Sky Tower, lots of parks & gardens and have been on a ferry a couple of times to some nice little places like Manly and Watsons Bay. I definatly haven't been bored and don't think I will be the rest of the time im here as there's so much to do, and so much money to be spent!!! This Saturday we are off to the Hunter Valley, Oz's most famous vineyards. We have to leave at 7am as it's 2 hours away, but then spend the day drinking wine, see lots of pretty places and eating cheese and chocolates!!! Definatly worth getting up early. The next weekend we are off to the Blue Mountains for the whole weekend to see lots of caves and things and go on the world's steepest railway which is gooing to be great and it's christmas time in the Blue Mountains at the moment! Yeh, I don't get it either, but I'm not going to complain, just as long as Santa comes along! There's even a chance it might snow!!!! Hope everyone is well. Email me! Love Emily x x x
