Rotorua & Auckalnd

Rotorua- the land of thermal floors and rotton egg!

Yep, that's a small lake behind me with steam rising out of it from the volcano below!!!

Geyser erupting again from all this thermal malarky!!!

And mud bubbling......

Slighty more normal- A Maori evening where they performed the Haka- amazing! The bulging eyes and protruding tongues they do is kinda scary though and the woman are also pretty scary as rather large!!!

Arriving in the City of Sails/ the smoke- Auckland

Queenstown

View of Queenstown from the top of the Gondola where Jo and I went luging- so much fun, There's also another AJ Hackett bungy jump up there too! This isn't me, but it could have been me when I did my first skydive. 9000ft and free as I won it in a raffle in pub! The most turquoise lake I've ever seen on the way to Mt Cook- beautiful! Jo on our lunch stop in Glenorchy where we hitch hiked to. The views were definatly worth the risk! Tequila time after making it back to Queenstown safely!

Bottom Bus

Jo and I off on the farm to round up some sheep and then shear them! And there's me shearing the sheep- apparently I was a natural! Probably comes from having 7 sheep as pets when we were little- random! I especially loved the sexy overalls, and it's not every day you have a sheep's head stuck between your legs! A yellow eyed penguin that we watched waddle all the way from the sea to the back of the beach to deliver the fish it had caught at sea that day, by being sick- lovely! The waddling was cute and when it fell over the rocks too! Waterfall at the bottom of the South Island As featured in the Kiwi Experience brochure!

Canyon Swing and the Bottom Bus

This is the platform I did my Canyon Swing off! Jumped, or in my case flopped, off the platform backwards and plummeted into the canyon where I then swing above the water for ages- brilliant! No hitting the water this time luckily! Beautiful view of Lake Wakatipu that Queentown lies on and The Remarkables in the backgroun (ski field in the Winter). Called The Remarkables as they are one of two mountian ranges in the world that lie excatly North to South, the other is The Rockies. I am learning something over here!!!Beginning of my trip around the South of the South Island on the Bottom Bus- Dunedin where the steepest street in the world is- I suprisingly didn't bother walking to the top like some people you can see up there! Jumping on a beach in the middle of nowhere! Dunedin is home to Cadbury's World- yum yum!

The bungy crew from our Kiwi bus- notice I'm the only one who's wet! This was before the black eyes appeared!! Beautiful drive into Queenstown- my future home!Celebrating still being alive with a teapot of cocktail! The idea is to drink them in shot glasses, me and my friend Jo prefer to just drink straight from the pot!
